Jesus doesn’t call us to simply notice our neighbors. He calls us to go and do likewise. In the final words of the Good Samaritan story, we’re reminded that neighboring isn’t a one-time act of kindness. It’s a way of life. Following Jesus means allowing love and mercy to shape the way we see people, respond to needs, and live every day.
